I use GIMP for my gifs.
You need GIMP GAP that you can pick up at gimp.org
I find a YouTube video and use
Bender Converter (gives you one free convert a day) to convert to AVI. Save to computer.
In GIMP go to
video>split video and frames>extract video
once it's loaded I pick the frame range I would like to use and re-upload only choosing the video range I want and close the other window. Then begin edit. Once finshed I save as a .gif
