You have to take these numbers in context too though. I don't know enough about LSU's schedule to comment on theirs but for us, I'd say those stats overrate our rush D and underrate our pass D. We really played only one real rushing team - Nebraska, but we did hold them to 100 yards under their average. On the flip side, we played 4 of the top 10 passing offenses, so it follows that our passing D stats will be a little dismal.

We held OSU,OU, & Nebraska all well under their averages.

Wait a minute, wait a minute.
LSU is ranked 10th in PASSING defense and 38th in RUSHING defense.
If you're going to FI, FI right.
LSU played the 6th, 16th, 19th and 36th best rushing teams, and the 1st, 4th, 6th and 22nd best pass efficiency offenses - and finished 20th in pass eff. defense.
