except it would mean another year having to play cam newton. I love watching PP play, but if another year of it means having to play cam again I think I'd rather them both go.

Regardless of the NFL Lockout, Cam Newton will NOT be playing college football next year. There are a couple of others on that team also expected to be looking for a new home come this spring.

Talking to a few people more deeply involved with what's really going on, there is absolutely NO support from the NFLPA to agree to ANY form of movement to an 18 game season. That will be the killer of any deal, regardless of money.

There were meetings held at the beginning of the year warning ALL players to set up a savings plan to carry living expenses for a year. Evidently, the last lockout wreaked havoc on some of the players living extravagant lifestyles.

Those saying NEVER, NO WAY, may want to reconsider. Not saying it's a certainty to strike, but the possibility exists. There has been basically no movement in position for the last 12-16 months.

The problem with those declaring early is they are going to have to declare BEFORE the current Player Agreements expire. If there is a lockout, no contracts, drafts or transactions of any type can be conducted. the NCAA has already ruled that those declaring early will not be reinstated if a lockout occurs.
