They suck...the LSU v arky game was worse than the seccg...but their coverage is crap. They miss important calls from the refs...the director cuts from action to show score updates...or fans...or certain aspects of the formation...and misses the bigger picture. It's 2nd rate at best.

Gary, I like him. He and Todd Blackledge are right there next to each other. Both know their shite.
Granted, Gary tooted $cam but I applaud him for making this quote:
"I know nobody cares what I think but.... you have to take a lying thief at his word."
That takes some balls and I stand by Gary 100%.
Meanwhile Verne is eating mushrooms and downing Jack Daniels.

The camera work and announcing are the pitts. ABC did a far superior job with seccg imho.

TV Timeout's for commercials ruin the flow of the game. Longest day I ever spent in Tiger Stadium was the 2006 Arkansas Game. I love to go but shite Marie Bob Dixie it was slow plus LSU lost. frick CBS.

I watched the Arkansas game while at work with Arkansas fans and some that just wanted to watch the game. Everyone complained that CBS is pitiful and it was worst broadcast ever.

i hate CBS games. they suck. they will drag a game out for 5 hours. even worse for people attending the game, waiting on the red hat to bring the game back to live play.
I thought the entire crew camera, color guys sucked in the Ark/LSU game. we missed several plays because we were still listening to Brando beat his gums. Color guys mis pronounced players names all day. Definitely their B team color guys. Sadly Vern is part of their A team

during the arky game this year, the commentators never mentioned the problems with the overhead cameras and lines in WMS. They were talking about it on the radio and coaches on the field were talking to refs, cbs guys said, well I guess we have an extended timeout. Let's take this chance to suck off mallet some more.

CBS coverage is cool if you don't mind missing snaps to watch a replay.

No doubt in my mind Verne would drop to his knees and un-hinge his jaw for Cam Newton if he ever found himself inside the AU locker room.

i think they are far better than ABC. i like gary. to me, he and todd blackledge are the best in the business. verne? he's past his prime for sure. but overall, danielson is one of the few announcers that i listen to; most games i turn down the sound.

Too many commercials bad camera work and Verne needs to retire baaaad! Gary D. I enjoy but they extend games by 45 minutes due to commercials. Not to mention no night games because they would rather air 60 minutes and reruns of CSI.

Todd Blackledge is with ABC/ESPN, but Gary is all right. Archie Manning is hands down best in the studio. Tim and Spencer are insufferable.

I hate CBS:
1. Vern broadcasts the same teams games three times in a season and still can't get a player's name pronounced correctly.
2. Too many TV time outs.
3. Day games in Tiger Stadium
4. Their broadcast of LSU-Arkie this year was one of the worst I've seen. Hell, their camera cord was getting in the way of punts and had to be taken down. I was listening to Hawthorne trash them on the radio and the CBS guys weren't saying a thing about why play was stopped.
Wish ESPN would out bid them for the all the television rights.

CBS is terrible for sure. I understand why big games on Saturday are at 2:30 pm, because that's considered prime time on Saturday. People like to go out on Saturday nights. That's why no good shows are on Friday or Saturday. But the people CBS is marketing to are still going to watch the game at night. They need to cut Verne from college football. Gary is not AS bad, but he hates LSU no doubt Can one of you Authors create a CBS page on Facebook about this. I bet CBS exec's would catch wind of it, and maybe it will help our case.
