In 2007 he had Flynn/RP at QB and a solid offensive line. Our offense was awesome. Since then he has had Hatch, Lee, and Jefferson. None of which belong in the SEC. I don't think there is a coordinator in the country who could do better with the crap we have had to work with. If anyone is to blame, it's Miles for allowing this to happen. If Mettenberger comes, I predict a much improved offense. If not, it will be the same thing next year. If you fire Crowton now, fine, but who do you think can magically make our QBs play better than they have?

Someone who actually knows how to coach QBs?

If they had a quality QB coach, they would.

Lee and JJ were both 4* QBs. As someone said, Lee was one of the top pro-styles in his class. JJ was up there.

That's a good point.

But LSU's offense has not finished in the 50s or 60s the last THREE years.

It's been in the fricking 100s, behind Tulane, New Mexico State, and Slippery Rock.

It's not JUST that QBs have misfired, this offense, for the most part has been dazed and confused the entire time.

If you believe LSU's offensive talent is the problem, then you must believe that there were 100 other teams who had better talent than LSU --

and you must be fricking crazy.

This is simple.

It's Crowton.

FIRE HIM. HIRE SOMEONE BETTER.

LSU was dead last in the SEC in passing. Are you suggesting there isn't one coordinator in the country who could have done better then that?

You're blaming the clay when you should be blaming the moulder. Crowton has had years to coach up Jefferson and Lee, and has completely failed to do so. In fact, they've regressed.

Seven TD passes from a team with our raw talent is pathetically unacceptable.

Lee was #7 pocket passer in 2007 (not a top 250)

Jefferson was #8 pocket passer in 2008 (top 250)

For comparison's sake, Flynn was the #16 pocket passer in 2003 (not a top 250).

There may be ten programs in all of CFB who out-recruited us on offense in the last 5 years. Probably more like five, but I don't feel like doing the research.

Think again.

Well then why hasn't he recruited a QB to run his offense?
