Just received my paycheck today 
Noticed that and additional $49.80 was withheld from my pay check for social security this pay period. My salary did not increase but I'm short about $50. Asked boss man wtf, he said maybe QuickBooks has a new social security withholding table. Did with holding for social security change in last 2 weeks?

What I know is that the Social Security Tax rate and Wage Base was not supposed to change for 2011 (i.e. it is staying @ 7.65%)...
so something else happened. Compare a previous pay stub with the current one to see what might have changed.
