Oh I know. My family farms a bunch of land in hunters bend. My uncles said it wasn't nothing to see 2/300 deer in the field on a given night. Now you might see 1 forked horn buck but the deer were everywhere.
It needs to be about half way between what it is now and what it was in '82. Some beautiful woods but the people hunting it, generally don't have any respect for the deer.

I had a bow camp at Tensas.. Did the gun lottery thing 1 time... 1 time was enough... Life is too short, and it was almost shortened a few times that day..

I agree with ya but it ain't gonna happen and its sad. It COULD be a big time trophy buck area. Nimrods, Yahoos, and the Feds have and will continue to abuse a beautiful bottom land hardwood forest.

The Turkey population has suffered as well.
