Another reason why ESPN showed the frick out of Jets/Bengals is that half the country doesn't get NFL Network and was probably more curious to see unique highlights than the highlights of games they'd already watched live (Pats/Lions and Saints/Cowboys).

I'm a Pats fan (although they are a clear #2 to the Saints) and i was sick of the coverage - especially seeing Ryan's fat mug.
The reason why those two games got so much coverage is that they are already hyping the Jets/Pats game which will be on their network a week from Monday. You saw a 30 min promo for the game.
