I am about to order an 887 and wondering if anyone had experience with one? It is a remington and the no rust thing is appealing.

I posted this in an earlier thread, but this gun would be better used as a paddle. I received this gun last year as a gift and it came out of the box broken. I sent it back and the trigger mechanism still messes up. Rem dropped the ball on this one...big time. Buy a Nova instead, JMO.

I was thinking about buying one earlier this year but after researching it I decided to get a supernova instead. If you search I believe some threads have been started about the gun.

I asked this question and everyone says no. But MOST people who have bought it and shot it love it, or at least that is what i can gather online. for the price though it may still be a decent option.

The people saying dont buy one, probably have not and do not own one. I have one and like it a lot. In my opinion the 887 is in a different league than the Nova. Most people just say buy Nova because of the name.

The all time best pump out there in my opinion is the 870 Express Super Mag. But I'm biased because it was the 2nd gun I ever bought and I got it when I was 16. The first gun was a Mosberg 500, which promptly broke, was returned and that is when I got the 870.

I have found in my recent search for an auto loader that, as far as reading reviews on the internet about guns goes a lot of gun companies have quality control issues. I couldn't find a damn auto loader that had a general consensus that it was a great gun except for the Beretta Extrema 2. 1187 bad quality control, Super Black Eagle 2 butt pad falls out and inertia system doesnt work on straight up shots sometimes, Mossy 930-935 plastic parts breaking. Moral of the story is every gun has a pissed off owner and a happy owner. People who are pissed at a product are more inclined to seek out writing a bad review than those that are pleased. Find someone who owns one and shoot theirs or pick a company you know has good customer service and hope you dont get a bad one.
