Lsu looked good in Florida, bama, ulm and even ole miss. They just happened to play their best game of the year, and took all the chances (fourth down conversions, onside kicks etc)

Ole Miss and Tennessee are shitastic teams.
UNC is average at best.
If LSU's only close games were to Florida, Auburn, and Alabama, no one would bat an eye.
