Scholarship Quaterbacks?

Looking at our roster we have five qb's. Who is and who isn't on a scholarship?
Jordan Jefferson
Jarrett Lee
Alex Walton
Barrett Bailey
T.C. McCartney
Also, with the possibility of us taking three more quaterbacks this year (Mettenberger, Rivers, and Bridgewater/Brissett) Does someone lose a scholarship?

JJ AND JL are the only Scholarship QBs.

Who is this? I have never heard or seen his name before?

Maybe a greyshirter??
No, after Z.Lee left they called him to come as a "preferred walk-on". JJ and JL are the only ones on scholarship. I believe if we lose on Mett. Barret might get one, but I doubt it.

Just a question I'm not sure about. If Mett does not pick us, is a committed qb like Phillip Ely fair game to recruit or does he have to de commit first? Not saying we are looking that way at all.

No one is really committed until they sign an LOI. He's fair game for other schools to recruit. Whether they do or not is dependent on how they feel about their chances of turning him. At some point if the player is seriously looking at another team it's good form for the player to decommit, especially the closer we get to signing day, but there is no requirement (see Janzen Jackson).

LSU would be in deep dog crap. It would be too late to get a proven JC or a transfer QB from a major four year college.

Teacher we have been in this situation not because of Mettenberger. Mettenberger is just the latest QB not to choose LSU assuming he does not come here. Don't make it sound like this whole thing just happened. We have had ample time to address the QB situation and have not done so.
