The real difference in this year and last.

Plain and simple , the offensive line. More time for the qb's better holes for the running backs. More rest for the deffense. Those who don't know squat blame problems on Crowton but every coach is better when the line can block someone and the qb can throw and the receivers catch.

Are you under the impression that our offense this season is dramatically better than 2009?

Well considering the fact we're still 90th in the country in total offense and OM is 2nd to last in the conference in total defense, I'd love to hear why you think Crowton is such a good OC.

As far as rushing offense, heck yeah!
Passing offense, JJ is the offensive player of the week in the SEC, the first LSU QB to win that honor since 2007.
I think the offense is on it's way!

Any year you are not talking about hte offensive line, is a year they are doing their job.

43 points help ya any? Kind of looks like Crowton took advantage of that weak defense while controlling the clock.

Against the worst defense in the SEC not named Vanderbilt

Yes he did, job well done for this one game. Now given the fact he's been disastrous the entire season, save for one half against Bama, I ask again:
How does this make Crowton a good OC?

I answered your question based upon the guidelines you gave.
Just in case you forgot:

The team's W/L record? Maybe he manages the team's talent which he knows a whole lot better than you do. Ya think?
Nah that couldn't be it. You obviously know more about the individual strengths and weaknesses of the players than the man who is in contact with them every day.

AMEN!
Still room for improvement, but waaaaay better than last year.

The team's W/L record?
..............................Nation...(Conference)
Rushing offense: 32nd (5th)
Passing offense: 108th (11th)
Total offense: 90th (11th)
Scoring offense: 52nd (9th)
Turnovers lost: 69th (9th)
We have the 2nd worst offense in the SEC. I mean how stupid can you be not to realize we've won despite our offensive struggles, not because of them. LSU has the potential to very good offensively with improvement at Offensive Coordinator, but you don't want to a change because...?

Since our losses last year came in conference games, take a look at the offensive stats in SEC games......296 per sec game last year, 374 this year. That's quite an improvement. I don't care about what they did against McNeese or ULM, we only run 4 plays in those games.

DO NOT FORGET TO GIVE THE OFFSEASON CONDITIONING COACH all he is due...HE DESERVES A LOT OF PROPS FOR THE QUALITY OF THE TEAM THIS YEAR VERSUS LAST....

Let me guess, you are a dedicated sports nerd that thrives on empty statistics? The ONLY statistic that really matters is the win/loss record. The rest is just meaningless white noise by unknowing fans.
Some teams with better offensive rankings than LSU:
Duke
Tulane
Notre Dame
Michigan
I suppose you would rather trade places with them?
Not me. I like wins, not empty scores.

Perhaps some of the opponents aren't as good because LSU is better?
