Just to update your post. Here is how currently ranked teams breaks down:

Oregon (1)

#6 Stanford

Auburn (4)

#5 LSU
#12 Arkansas
#18 South Carolina
#25 Mississippi State

Boise State (1)

#16 Virginia Tech

TCU (1)

#20 Utah

LSU (3)

#2 Auburn
#11 Alabama
#25 Mississippi State

Wisconsin (3)

#8 Ohio State
#10 Michigan State
#24 Iowa

Stanford (2)

#1 Oregon
#21 Arizona

Ohio State (2)

#7 Wisconsin
#24 Iowa

Oklahoma State (2)

#15 Nebraska
#17 Texas A&M

Michigan State (2)

#7 Wisconsin
#24 Iowa

You can add two more ranked teams to Auburn's schedule by the end of the year. Although, if Auburn beats South Carolina pretty badly in the SEC Championship, they could knock them out of the top 25. You can also add two more ranked teams to Oklahoma State's schedule (assuming they make the Big 12 championship)

You can add one more ranked team to LSU, Oregon, and Boise's schedule by the end of the year.

So by the end of the season, it will be:

Auburn - 6

LSU - 4

Oklahoma State - 4

Wisconsin - 3

Oregon - 2

Boise State - 2

Stanford - 2

Ohio State - 2

Michigan State - 2

TCU - 1

Why doesn’t it count if we beat a ranked team if they were ranked when we beat them? College football is built on emotions. When we played them they were ranked as if they were ranked and the media ranked them. This one of many issues for ranking teams in college. Maybe it is the lose we gave them that started their descent out of the top 25??? North Carolina and Florida were both ranked when we played and beat them both. That makes 5 ranked teams and more than anyone else this year.
