How many more does he need for the national record?

As much as they are against lsu, if he broke the national record, do you really think they would move him up at all in the rankings

Espn has Johnson as their #2 prospect overall.

I think 10.

He needed 1 for the state, and 11 for the national. I think he only had one sack last weekend.

I would say the chances are slim he breaks it this late in the season.

Yeah, and I doubt he sees anything less than double teams from here on out.

But Congrats to Freak!!! Awesome job and I can't wait for him to suit up as a LSU TIGER!

Speaking of the Under Armour game:

What's crazy is that Freak, Collins, Landry, (& I think, Hilliard) were originally named to play in the US Army AA game on NBC Jan 8th, and now (thankfully) they are all commited to play in the (far better produced) Under-Armour game on ESPN Jan 5th.

The only LSU prospects I see now in the Army game is Jernigan and Beckham.

I haven't been able to follow who is playing where but I think we would benefit very much from Freak and Jernigan playing in the same game.

Not a fan of the UA game. (I mean the actual game.) It's like watching a 7 on 7 tourny. The Army AA presentation, etc. is a bit boring, but I enjoy the game better because it's more like a real college football game.

And Robinson

With what is going down on the plains, he has to be as good as ours

I am loving every minute of it

I agree about US AA having the feel of a real game. Like watching a Southern-Grambling game.
Whereas, UA feels like a Pro-Bowl HOF flag football game. (I think because the camera shots in Orlando are lower in that make-shift HS stadium)

But...

1. UA gets better players now than the US AA
2. The HD production is 100% better than NBC.
3. The commentators actually talk about the players who made the catch and who made the tackle; who made the run, and who made the sack.
4. They don't talk about Notre Dame for 15 minute segment or interview Mike Golic while action is going on
5. They don't talk about NFL playoffs/headlines
6. They don't randomly show a camera shot of the stadium wall while action is going on on the field.
7. They appropriately & briefly mention a team's class when a recruit makes multiple plays, and that players' projected fit for that team.
8. They don't come back from a commercial and plays were missed.
9. The announcements are the same, but they don't do family interviews that cut into action.
10. They don't go on for a full segment about the HS Coaching legend coaching the game while action is going on.

I just like the UA game a bit more. :)

keep seeing this, but dont get why you ppl think it guarantees anything or means all that much. Nothing is coming down on Auburn any time soon; UNC has been dealing w/ issues for longer and nothing has been handed down yet.

I almost wrote that instead of 7 on 7 tourny.

FIFY

What's ironic is that I think NBC's Sunday Night Football has the best live HD cameras/graphics in the business. And yet, their US AA game telecast looks like it's broadcast on a local government channel on cable with amatuer announcers. It's just so frustrating to sit through is mainly why I went off on that detailed rant.

He's been double-teamed every game since his sophomore year fwiw. Yes, he's that good.
