Agricultural commodity prices have been on a tear for the last 4-6mos and really detached from the underlying fundamentals IMHO, wheat in particular. What's the consensus on what we are seeing in commodities and how long before we see the inflation in this space get paced on to the consumer? GMRC recently pushed a price increase through to combat rising coffee prices and ADM Is about to increase HFCS pricing.

There is no basis on any of the commodities. Corn, wheat, and soybeans are making new highs but so has cattle which usually go in opposite directions. Yields on money are so low I think its just speculators jumping into everything they can. Somebody is going to get crushed in this thing. As far as inflation, its been moving through the chain. Companies are going to use the news to raise prices. I see reports of t-shirts going up $4 which is ridiculous and cereal 50%. With less than 10 cents of grain in a box double the commodity prices alone doesnt do that.
