Wasting Russell Shepard

Here are Jordan Jefferson's stats over the past 4 games:
Passing: 22 for 44 204 yds 0 touchdowns and 4 INT
Rushing: 36 attmpts 192 yrs 4 tds
There is no doubt in anyone's mind that RS can run the ball better than JJ.
Its safe to say he wouldnt be any worse than JJ throwing the ball either.
He has also been rather ineffective at receiver thus far.
As our QB situation stands now, it is a rotation of JJ and JL with JJ being used primarily as a run threat and JL used primarily to pass.
I'm not even lobbying for RS to get full time, but if we are rotating a "passing qb" and a "running qb" wouldn't it be wise to use our best running qb?
What's the worst that can happen, you find yourself a new starting QB in the process?

How do you know Ive never seen him throw the ball in an LSU uniform during the game?

we all know this.
i'm just going to say this. les miles clearly is honoring some sort of commitment he has made to jefferson and/or possibly his family. it's blatantly obvious that's the case.

The worest that could happen is JL gets hurt again and now our Qbs are both runners, and we're down a WR.

Leslie is just saving Shep for Bama.

I wonder what is going thru RS and RR heads. Are they happy here? They could transfer and red shirt the year they have to sit. If we dont get Mettenberger we have the same QBs next year.
Im not saying they will or they want to, i am just wondering.

Yep good point.....BUT wo cares nothing will change and no matter what we want or think ( even if we are wrong ) nothing will change.

Maybe, but I don't think we really know at this point. I think that's what is so irritating about this offense. Would anyone really be worried if neither JJ or JL could play? I mean, would your anxiety increase significantly?

RS looks happy in the all interviews I've seen.

Even if we get Mett he sits behind our current Qbs. No way he plays over them.

I cant see how Randle can be happy.

Not only are wasting Shep and Randle, but what about Ford?
What did he have, two carries? Both sweeps? Talk about setting someone up to fail. That was pathetic. The guy is playing, but he's not being given the chance to succeed.
It's almost like Miles is creating controversy by trying not to create controversy.

what exactly are we wasting??
He's a one dimensional player, who has shown the ability to take it the distance when given some space. But he's out of position at WR because he doesn't catch very well. And it's obvious from day one that the LSU coaching staff does not think he's capable of playing QB. What's left? RB. Would he better as the primary RB over Ridley, Ford, Ware?
I think his main problem is lack of size, combined with awful hands. Ideally, he should play WR, but he doesn't catch the ball well enough. So now what?
So are we "wasting" shepard, or was he overhyped to begin with?

Answer this: Why would Miles personally be recruiting a JUCO QB is he didn't expect him to play immediately barring injury?

As dumb as Les makes himself out to be sometimes, I can tell you with 100% certainty that Miles was planning to have Jefferson as a backup QB at best (Perriloux as starter with JL backup and JJ safety valve as a 3rd string). But then the Perriloux thing happened and the JL pick 6 thing happened and Les had to do something to keep from losing his team.

He has 3 years to play, not 2 like most JUCOs.
