Well go ahead and tell me how many conscutive years they can not win the West before there is a problem? Its almost certain to be 3 years in a row now. At some point going forward he has to win the division or they need to get a new coach.

Every year there are 10 solid contenders for the NC and usually at least 3 of them are from the SEC. Everyone wants to bitch and moan, but the truth of the matter is that we are improving. Coming into the season, very few expected us to contend for the NC (and those that did were called sunshine pumpers). We've still got a good chance to finish the season 11-2, which should set us up for a run in 2011. ...And you never know, with a little luck we could finish up 12-1 and in the hunt.

not true! i just want us to play to our abilities,,, we flat out got beat yesterday by a better team. i can deal with that. but we shouldnt be in a close game with tenn with our talent and i dont care how spoiled you are those situations shouldnt happen time and time again (ole miss, the 65 yard fg at arky 08, and tenn)

No. You're wrong. I remember the dark days and I see the level at which we're playing and I see many of our competitors getting stronger. Bama's back and Auburn is coming on, as is Arkansas and I don't want to settle for second or third place in the West. I don't want to be happy to go to the Chick Fil-A Bowl, so quit telling me how spoiled I am, idiot. It's all about expecting maintaining a level of excellence that allows us to compete for the West and SEC Championship every year. Go settle somewhere else!

Yes, I feel that way. Why would you play football not to win the nat'l championship or SEC? Anything but those is considered a failure in some sort of way. It's just if we get to a BCS bowl it's not as much as a failure.

I hope you guys end up with wives just like you: never content with what you've accomplished, jumps all over you the minute you fail at something, has no faith that you can really do anything at all, and constantly makes snide comments on how she thought you were an "elite husband" and wonders aloud as to why you aren't making more money. At least on the upside you won't have to do laundry (as she won't think you are capable).

Don't call me an idiot, bitch! Too much parity in college football to expect to get to the pinnacle every year. Yes, with our overpaid staff, we should be better. I'm just as aggravated with everyone else with the talent level we have and with no production on offense.

All the negatigers are failing to take into consideration the fact that this administration will never be able to land a top quality coach. Head coaches are difficult to find especially the great ones.
Mark Emmert was determined to find and ASSIST the head football coach to become as successful. Nick Saban and Emmert layed the ground work.
Les needs a good offensive coordinator and a great QB, which is rumored that we have landed Metzenberg(?).
With all these freshman starting, we should consider ourselves fortunate to be 7-1. Next year will be amazing.

yes, we have a team that has not improved in 3 years and we have players that have not developed to what they were in HS since coming to LSU. We are truly spoiled rotten.
