never tried it that way.
Well, by reading some of the responses, neither have they! But....
Here is a microwave version:
1.Brown some small pieces of bacon and chopped onions on stove top.
2.Put chopped up (very large pieces) of cabbage in a large microwave glass dish (with cover)
3.Pour the browned bacon, onions and some of the bacon drippings over the cabbage, add about 1/4 cup of water and stir.
4.Cover and Microwave on power 7 for about 15 minutes. You will need to check on it before it is done, since amounts that are cooked change the time.
This dish can be microwaved on high for about 10 minutes. I have done both.
I know there will be some who will post and say why use the stove top and then use the microwave.
Well, the smell of cabbage on the stove is more powerful than when it is cooked this way in the microwave! Really! Hope this helps
