All of this talk about Cam Neutron by Auburn and the national media has caused a mirage to be cast over LSU's ability to corral this one man "freakshow." With that in mind, I thought it would be helpful to keep the Tiger Nation focused on the task at hand. Here's my assessment of the defensive strategies to be employed.

1. Get a huge push with our defensive front four, allowing Kelvin Eleven to drop back covering the release out of the backfield as well as shadowing Newton. This will force Newton to throw into tight coverage, giving the opportunity for PP7 and Claiborne to make a play - (pay special attention to the options the QB has 2 seconds into the play)

Front four Push, #11 Shadow, Man Coverage

2. Contain Newton with front four push, zone containment, making bone crushing hits on players crossing the middle.

KaaaaaaBOOOOOM!

3. In certain situations, Confuse Newton with different looks, Blitz 5 or 6, allowing superior d-backs to cover man to man.

Blitz with Man Coverage
Get that Crap Outta Here!!

4. Offensively, heavy doses of this:
Sheppard
This,
Lee - Tolliver
This,
LSU Offense - JLee

OR if all else fails, take a page out of Bama's play book and apply this-
Police Dog

#2 Laptop placed inside of said box
#3 Stick to prop up box
#4 String to pull stick out from under box.

This post must be a joke.
When CN does a pushup, he doesn't move...the earth does.

Why the f*** do they have police dogs in the endzone of a college football game?

That dog thought he bit somebody from the hood.

Yes there is. Watch a replay of the Wisconsin-Ohio State game. The Wisconsin defense shut down Cam Newton clone Terrell Pryor and the Badgers won the game. Many "Athletic dual threat QB's" often times can't handle the pressure of huge games on television and frequently disappear in those games.........

- 6 men blocking 4, but containing in such a way as to not let him escape. The key here is the tight coverage by everyone else, leaving #11 mono-i-mono to stalk him if he makes a break.
