New gear (2011 stuff) is coming out now. You can probably find some of the 2010 stuff pretty cheap.
I would definitely look into that first before I got used gear.
I know that City Cycles (off Sherwood) usually carries some good older stuff and lots of online places do, too.

Thanks for the replies. I went to cycle gear yesterday and hit the mother load. Just like poster said above 2010 gear on sale.
