his demeanor in between plays and getting the crowd fired up after the fourth down conversion. He didn't seem like the 08 version of himself for those reasons alone.
Or was that just me?

I agree. We still need to see more positive from him, and IMO we will. JL is our best chance of running the table this year.

I agree. I don't get how some people think Lee couldn't get better than he was in 08. Each year is different with every player....this is Lees time to shine!

I'm not ready to anoint him the savior, but he showed confidence & leadership. He has things he needs to work on, but is ahead of JJ IMO. I like how he gave JJ a pat before going off the field. I also love that he said he still needs to improve when asked about his performance in the post game. In stark contrast to JJ's "we're 4-0, what more do you want?" That rings a huge bell for me.

Correct, he has had two years to dwell on his 08 season. The thought of erasing that memory from tiger fans has got to have him more than determined to prove himself in a big way

Very impressed with his confidence out there. I still think LSU is going to need both QB's to finish out the season though.

No matter how well JL does we will see both QBs through the rest of the season. Les made a commitment to JJ and seems to take it serious. As well as our OC unfortunately.

I'm ready to anoint him the savior. Frankly we don't have any other choices, and there's just a much better feel when JL is on the field. And it isn't just JL, it's that the rest of the team seems to rally around him. Our receivers actually started to look a little feisty out there against the vols. And JL does seem very confident, and in 2008 he was very effective when he was feeling confident. The crowd in TS needs to cheer the shite out of JL and keep him pumped up. Hopefully he'll have some good luck against UF and will start to feel confident by the time we play Bama. It's JL or bust!

I agree that the other players seem to respond better when Lee is in the game. It's refreshing to see the ball thrown down field. I'm not here to bash JJ, I just think Lee needs to start and play most of the game. JJ has had his chance.

And frankly, I don't like JJ's attitude.

It was nice to see him get some redemption and pump the crowd up after being booed in 2008.

This week in the Swamp is obviously a huge test. I know I'm not breaking any news, but remember the house of horrors 2 years ago Lee experienced. Let's hope he's mentally ready & has put that behind him. We will know what he's capable of after this game.

Thank god this is a different UF defense and we forget that its not like we need him to throw the ball 35 times all we need is a little efficiency. This years team gives JL much more of a chance for success due to the running game and the D.

I just hope the fan base doesn't trash one to raise another. There is a very real possibility that J.L. will have a mediocre or less game this year and we will be back to the QB bickering. Just something the fans need to think about.

And thank God our defense is different. Florida scored on three straight possessions before Lee ever threw an INT. Then we cut it to 20-14 and Florida scores on two straight possessions to make it 34-14 before the Spikes pick 6. The game was really over before that one. Our defense was dreadful. We weren't winning that game even if Lee had 0 turnovers.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the D can do against Florida.
