A lot has been said about how we're looking to "improve" each week and keep getting better to prepare for our tougher portion of this years schedule.
I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but it sometimes is good to reduce things to their simplest forms to understand what's really happening.
To win, you must score more than your opponent. Here are our total points scored for the 1st 5 weeks.
Week 1 30 points
Week 2 27 points
Week 3 29 points
Week 4 20 points
Week 5 16 points
It's pretty clear to see the downward trend in total points scored.
NOTE: We are also averaging 8 penalties for 60 yards per game, and they seem to come at critical points in the game.
Fix these things, and we don't need great time clock management, but it sure would be nice to have that too. Is that really too much to ask for?
