Sodium is far more responsible for water retention than any artificial sweetener.
I drank only water for close to the first year then crystal lite since. No change whatsoever in hunger.
As Hulk said everyone is different but I just imagine some hungry people want to blame it on something obscure like sweeteners instead of Oh I don't know, eating less.

I don't use artificial sweeteners. If It needs to be sweetened I use real sugar. Of course I only drink three liquids and none require sweetness. Black coffee, water and scotch (not necessarily in that order)
A few years ago I tried Splenda but it gave me the shakes.
Equal and SweetnLow have side effects like memory loss and lab rat cancer but I can't remember which one does which.
