on the Rant about LSU's offense, WVU defense, our defense vs their offense, etc.

But there has not been alot said about our special teams play. Kick off returns, field goals, punts, PATs, etc.

The way I see it it breaks down like this:

Offense WVU > or = to LSU
Defense LSU > WVU by a long shot
Special Teams LSU > WVU no comparison.

WVU has a way better offense than LSU. If by that you mean potential, then yea, LSU would be up there with anyone else in the country. The problem is they haven't come close to their potential in two years. This Crowton sputter happened even when JL was in the game, mainly the second half of the 2008 season and is continuing now.

I understand how dangerous Peterson is as a return man, but if you look at the season stats, the special teams are probably closer than many of you realize.

Net Punting - WVU by 4 yards
Punt Returns - LSU by 6 yards
Kick Returns - LSU by 9 yards

FG % - LSU 85.5% compared to WVU's 83.5% (both kickers have missed 1, LSU kicked a shite ton of FG's against Miss St though)
