I know I know.... 95% of you are convinced that the coaching staff is full of idiots..... i disagree

Any time you've got a guy like Chavis, who was probably more set in his ways more than anyone but CLM, to see him do a complete 180 from his coaching style over his SEC tenure is very encouraging to me.

How many times has CLM been compared to Saban? Does anyone really think that he's not aware of the comparisons? What did Alabama do for the first time under Saban last year in the SEC champ game? after being good enough on D ALL YEAR to win by just running, when they got up against FLA they had the reputation as only a running team.

Boy was Florida, along with the rest of us, wrong

Why the hell would CLM do anything OTHER than take advantage of a bad situation, which is all the national pundits saying how dumb he and this program are, and use this to SANDBAG?? Don't you think it would fit into the gameplan perfectly to have other teams we are too stupid to adjust until it is too late? I'm not claiming we can go out and throw for 400 yards by snapping our fingers, but we don't need to. Alabama didn't last year.

They just needed it to get past Florida.

Looks like we will need it to get past Alabama.

Defense wins championships, and Special teams..... man I tell you what... watching those punters warm up on saturday.... from 50+ yards they land at the 3 every time. EVERY time.

As bad as our # of plays per game was last year, this year the telling stat IMO should be average starting field position for both teams. We will rape every team we play this year in that category.

SMILE! Be Happy! Your TIGERS are BETTER THAN YOU THINK!!!!

Crowtons last game.

Miles last game is the super duper secret playbook.

Should be pretty epic.

it's not a secret playbook retard, it's simple gameplanning.... why beat yourself vs inferior opponents after the turnovers in the first two games? you don't and thats what you saw saturday.

The D will carry this team over, not the O, but when they are called on, they will bring it.

You can't tell me as an educated football fan, assuming you are, that the playcalling didnt do a 180 on that first drive of the second half.

They toned it back down once the game was in hand, again

If only this were true.

The coaches have faith in the defense and offensive line. They don't have faith in the QB. If they don't need the QB to win, they won't use him. The problem is two-fold:

1. Of our final 9 games, 5 teams are better than any of the 3 we faced. We will have to be able to throw on them. And so far, our passing game is the worst of any top 25 teams, save maybe Oregon State and Penn State.

2. If you don't do it in the games against bad teams, it will be that much more difficult in the games against good teams.

And the MVP for the state game goes to the field goal kicker.

I agree that the coaches are not all that bad. I think that the problem with our offense is that Crowton is picking plays that are at Jefferson's level. I'm not bashing JJ, but his QB I.Q. doesn't seem to be at the level that Les and Crowton want it to be. That plus the fact that I don't believe that JJ is the type of QB that Les and Crowton thought that he would be- a true dual threat guy.

This I will agree with since I've posted the same thing several times today.

We have bullets in the gun that we haven't used yet.... most notably the quick slants and speed tosses, counter tosses.

You overstated this simple fact in your OP.

You all don't remember when we cracked open the secret playbook last year against #1 Flordia for 3 points at home?
