So far I have seen same plays over and over every game. To conservative with the play calling. Let him throw the football and try to develop. This is getting old with Crowton.

I said this on another post last night and I'll say it again:

1.) The coaching staff is calling plays that JJ is comfortable with. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be too comfortable with much beyond handing the ball off and roll-out passes where he only has one side of the field and 1-2 reads to deal with.

2.) If we are hell-bent on being an option team and not developing a vertical passing attack, then Shep is the better athlete for that style of offense.

3.) If we want to have an offense that is on par with our defense and special teams, then Lee is the best option.

I heard Hanagriff go off on a pro-Jefferson rant last night and he made the comment that he forgot the part where Jarrett Lee all of the sudden became Dan Marino. The fact is, Lee was thrown into a messed up situation in his Freshman year and while everyone remembers the bad (INTs), they forget that the kid threw for almost 1,900 yds and a rating over 116. Granted, the INTs were huge but, again, we're talking about a freshman who was thrown to the wolves too early.

The coaches and the pro JJ folks on here keep saying that they are trying to "develop their young QB". They need to remember that they have TWO young QBs to develop. Lee deserves meaningful reps.
