No surprise here. I hope the current Columbia Tiger becomes an LSU Tiger soon. Down the road, he would be a great replacement for Drake Nevis to join with our other good young D-linemen.

For those who really follow recruiting, what are our chances with him?

I'm thinking we have a fighting chance. He had a GREAT visit this spring and really seems to like it here.

Freak has supposedly said somewhere that he's ours at this point but we know how that works out sometimes.

I think Haley can reel him in but I also know the Florida people are confident (as usual).

I'm taking the cautiously optimistic, not expecting anything so I'll be ecstatic if it happens approach. That way I'm not let down. But there's definitely been good news on this front.

Has always been considered a Gator lock and most still feel this way but I've been hearing he may not be as much a lock as people think. Those guys have a lot of young talent at DT.Still would be suprised if he didn't end up a Gator.Would love to have him though.Little lazy at times but tremendous talent.

The "Gators Lock" died a long time ago. He has no favorite currently, but I have to side with Freak. He LOVED his unofficial visit down here in the Spring, was just down here this past weekend and repeatedly commented on how he loved New Orleans, loved Bourbon St., etc., and has said he is good friends with Freak.

Also, if you disagree with Freak, this:

will haunt your dreams

Seems to me that a kid coming to LSU because he loves Bourbon street may not be such a good thing down the road

That's not the only reason he loved it here. I love going around Bourbon Street even if I'm not drinking, nothing wrong with that. He's also the type that is more focused about his future than going out and partying

and that would still be 1 5* short of Florida's DL class last year(after martin transfered there)

Thats such a pipe dream, but I could somehow live with being second to Florida's class, somehow!

Martin transferred from Cal to UF before Fall camp even started at Cal. How normal is that?

Powell and Easely both skipped practice because they got their feelings hurt.

Sounds like they got themselves some Bryce Brown headcases.

I would still take my proposed class.

Powell and Easely skip practice
