I know this is my first post...but I have bled Purple and Gold since birth...here are some questions I have asked myself the past few days..

1)Why does the mad hatter not have balls anymore? Shouldnt we do a trick play ex: fake FG, punt, Flea Flicker, HB pass(with Shepard)??? Isn't the risk taking a portion of what got us a crystal ball in '07?

2)Why does everyone dislike JJ? Ok. last year...I could see the problem...mechanics were awful...he drifted out of the pocket, held on to the ball too long, never checked down ever, and threw the ball to his recievers way after they made their break...but lets face it...the kid was 18..his speed and his arm strength cannot be coached but learning mechanics and intelligence through reps in practice and dedication to being better I have seen from him...his accuracy is proven..and you can kind of fault Crowton last year for NEVER taking any shots downfield so the defense could literally stack 8 in the box and not worry about the pass. I did see a few mistakes against UNC but there has been HUGE improvement in his game...last year if yall watched he would look to his coaches for an audible...now he makes them himself..have faith in the kid..he is going to statistically be one of the best qb's at LSU ever if he stays after this season(which i think he should)

3)Why is everyone panicing? The first game of the season is ALWAYS the toughest one. ALWAYS. Ole Miss lost to a sketchy opponent, Oklahoma almost lost...the players have to develop some kind of rhythm and no not like practice...any of you that have played any kind of sports know that game experience is way different than habitual reps at practice against the same people youve been playing with for years. CHILL OUT! On a side note, TJ Yates looked EXTREMELY SHARP a few touchdowns he put right on the money but the game was won by the better team regardless of who was on the field...I think Deangelo would have made a HUGE difference too...and Baker...The most improvement by a team is between weeks one and two so if we dont win this Vandy game by at least 17-20...THEN we can worry.

4) Why the past few years have we been having OL problems? If yall dont remember through the years, we have ALWAYS got top lineman. OUR coach was a FN LINEMAN! Seriously! Our line should be FLAWLESS...PERIOD.

just some thoughts...I'll think of some more later im sure haha!

I'll only address the o-line issues. That's been the position with the greatest amount of attrition in the history of college football. It seems like every year since '05 we've lost multiple o-linemen.

You ask some great questions. You seem to have a lot of sense. This is not the place for you....

Les Miles signed at least two offensive linemen who ended up starting at Oklahoma instead. Other offensive linemen were kicked off the team. Quit signing thugs!

Do you expect him to transfer because he doesn't have a future in professional football.

His mechanics are still ver suspect, but he did get the ball out quicker, which is a sign he knows where to go with the ball. Hopefully we don't start where we ended last week.

Why is the winter cold? It's what we do. As an added bonus the panicing helps keep the arguing and bickering level up where it needs to be.

Are you serious?? Maybe not as a starter..but your crazy if you dont think he gets picked up by someone..Hell, Stephen McGee is holding a clipboard in Dallas right now, and he doesnt have half the talent JJ has. Anyone with a stong arm, 4.5-4.6 speed, and a completeion % over 60 should at least make some kind of team...but yall dont see what i see..the guy is going to be EXTREMELY good the rest of his time here. Just need Crowton to pull his head out and quit calling 90720969 short passing plays...one thing I did notice about him though that could pose a problem is he still doesnt understand the option fully...but you cant blame him when Murphy is running almost in front of him.

It's not a problem unless you have a solution.

And LSU does not have a solution for QB issues.

LEE IS NOT A SOLUTION

Well he shouldnt be the number 2 anyways...they would be idiots to not put Shepard back there. IDK if anyone in the history of the sport has give up 6 pick 6's in one season...and lived another day to tell about it haha

I would like to know the same.

I don't. Give the guy a running game like JL did in 08 and if he still gets sacked, then I can dislike him.

3)Why is everyone panicing?

Because it is the same mistakes as last year. I know there are new players, but that should have been corrected in the spring or fall.

Like someone else said, we have lost over 10 lineman for sure since 05. Probably more than that. Some were due to injuries, but a lot of players leaving and being cut due to behavior issues. I laid this out last year and we have lost more since then. If we had half of those guys we would be a lot better.

he did all of this against UNC.. the kid is just a decent QB, nothing more.. hes the best we have though, so you have to design an offense that figures out ways to get the ball in the hands of the right people..

Here are some questions I have asked myself the past few days

Here are my answers, if anyone cares......

1) Does not have the Experience @ skilled positions that he did in 2006 & 2007. Also, if it doesn't work, not overly confident Defense (with youth) can give them a "3 & out", limiting the sting of being unsuccessful.

2) I Don't think it's a dislike of JJ, rather a limiting of the playbook when JJ is in at QB. Crowton all but admitted last year he was scared to turn him loose because they did not know what he is capable of.... They now know and are still limiting his ability, which in turn limits the touches for Shep, Tolliver, Randle, D'lo Peterson and others.

3) I don't think panic is the right word. I think it's more of anticipation of the inevitable. They heard all of last year that they were going to get Shep more touches, give JJ more freedom, how this O-Line is much improved over last year. How Ford is going to see substantial touches this year when the no show in Game 1 indicates "The K Williams experiment - Part 2"

4) O-Line problems seem to be coming from Stud. Have heard a few rumblings (nothing with hard evidence mind you) that Wilkerson was befuddled at the techniques being taught and used. IF you were to ask me what the greatest cause of problems with performance the past 2.1 years, it's the O-Line. I don't think JLee would have been half as bad in 2008 if he had a Line that could remotely protect him. Towards the meat of the SEC Schedule, it was a constant Jail Break while only rushing 4 in 2008. Last year was a total disappointment.

this was never the case. most of the 4th downs from the UF game were ones you should go for. the last play of the Auburn game in 07 was a result of risky clock management.

the media blew this Lesticles persona up.
