What happen to Loston, did anyone see him last night??

i know he played just dont know how much. made one tackle that i just saw on the cst replay

Yeah. He played. Just not very much. I think we've got so many options at the safety positions this year that Chavis is still in the "experimental phase" of finding players ... and that's part of the problem.

exactly. no preseason in college, he's got to see them at that position to actually see what they're made of.

It seemed like they played just about every DB on the roster last night at one point or another.

Reid, Mathieu, Brooks, and Bryant all got more playing time than Loston. Even Simon got in.
Mathieu & Brooks both impressed.
Eugene doesn't have a feel for his zone assignments yet, but I'm somewhat optimistic about his ability to improve. He was better than I thought he would be, although to be frank, I thought he'd be horrible.
Taylor still has lots of strong points and lots of weak points in his game.
Claiborne is just an average CB who gets picked on when the other team's QB has too much time in the pocket.
Peterson continues to play below his potential on coverage, but he's still our best player.
