why did we pretty much play our 2nd team defense up until UNC was within a touchdown in the second half? Was the coaching staff trying to show a little mercy? it really baffles me. we still won but as always the game had me saying WTF!!

because we were up by 20 points, they were probably trying to build depth. that probably should have happened mid to late in the fourth qtr though. it let carolina back in the game and damn near cost us.

if we would have marched down the field and tacked on another 7 maybe it would be time to start shuffling some guys in but i thought they started doing that way too early. defense did a good job in the first half when they were aggressive.

I did not realize we had recruited our defensive secondary from the La. School of the Blind!!!!

The Hawgs will throw for 800 yards!!!!!!

first team D was better than the UNC's first team offense, which had NO benched players.

UNC first team offense was better than LSU's 2nd team D.

Why?

Because
a. 1st team was up by a lot
b. 2nd team got to play, lots of freshmen, grandma saw them on TV.

I don't know. Less Miles wanted to burn as many red shirts as he possibly could.

Brandon Taylor needs to be taught how to tackle also. He gave them a few first downs while trying to dive at their feet using NO arms.

Wrong. UNC's top two running backs were out.

UNC had less than 40 yards of offense in the 3rd quarter, I guess they thought if our 1st teamers can dominate them that well, surely 2nd string can.

That was proved wrong after just one play and momentum never shifted for the rest of the game. Then again, neither did Chavis' schemes.

The coaches pulled some players out in the secondary in the 4th quarter because they were pissed off at them for giving up a 93 and 88 yard touchdowns and they were angry about some missed tackles and players in the wrong place. I was glad to see the coaches get mad like that but there at the end, it did not matter if you were Patrick Peterson, that UNC QB got hot and their WR's were making good plays. I wished the offensive coaches would have gotten mad at Ridley and yanked him out. That fumble on the UNC 8 yard line and the fumble where we could of run the clock out stung bad! If Murphy or Ridley can't hang on to the ball, they need to give it to Ford and give him a try.

most over-used pancea for all defensive woes. how many times did we get caught blitzing in the second half? a lot
