Gotta get the Defense going!!

What happened to our defense over the years? It seems since the Miles era we've slowly lost that edge to our defense. The hard hitting, smash mouth, extremely fast defense is somewhat gone. I know its old but I love watching that BOOM video from 2003. Our defense has always been our best offense. I remember the game against Oklahoma when the announcer said before the game that for LSU to win the Defense needed an "A" grade game and the offense just needed a "C" to pull it off. I don't know what it is but we need to bring back that FIRE!

I was in Balad in 08. I know U remember that defense! I think our defense will be solid considering it's Chavis' second year and most of these guys were here last year. I'd really like to see a 03, 05 or 06 defense hit the field. Remember Wrotten and Williams? Ronnie Prude?

first of all, thanks for your service! 
i think the D will thrive this year in Chavis' 2nd year, mainly due to the talent in the secondary which will give him the ability to bring the heat!

Last year was an improvement I think you'll see more of the same this year

yea i definitely remember those guys...to add to that list Laron Landry and Bradie James! I wanna see some CBs coming from the backside and the safety running right up the middle and plowing over the qb! that'll definitely get our 92,000 best friends involved!

i can't say i disagree with that. maybe we wouldn't have had co-def coordinators with the saban era. but losing bo pelini was definitely a big shoe to fill.
