The New Schlitz
Schlitz in the early 1970's, changed the recipe of their beer that had made them the dominant leader of beers from 1900ish-1950ish to a crap version that most everyone is aware of.
And its freaking good. No wonder my Paw-Paw loved this beer when he was young.
It is my new beer. My standard beer, not my premium beer.

During the reformulating period of the late 1960s and early '70s the original Schlitz formula was lost and never included in any of the subsequent sales of the company. Through research of documents, interviews with former Schlitz brewmasters and taste-testers, the 1960s formula, along with a new television advertising campaign were officially revealed in 2008.
