I admit I spend way too much on flashlights. Surefire is my favorite and most expensive. Streamlight and Fenix I like also. Im talking more from an EDC and defensive use perspective. (Yes, flashlights can be used as a defensive weapon) Anyone else?

The best for me, when working outside work and hunting, is the Pelican waterproof flashlight. I first saw them when I went offshore for a job. They are waterproof and hella durable...also put out one hell of a beam

I switched to LED Lenser lights a couple of years ago and have been VERY happy. I was always a Mag light user and had trouble with the smaller units finding blood at night. Below is close to the model that I have and this little bastard is bright. Cost is under $100

IMO, those little cheap azz things that clip to your cap, ARE the best thing for a hunter since,,, well, a long time... Just enough light to get in climber or any kind of stand.. Leave it on, or take it off after you get up the tree.. Not for trailing, but, enough light to walk, with climber, over the shoulder, bow, etc. etc..
