I have been trying to buy a stumpfeeder or stumpmonster. These are gravity deer feeders disguised to look like a stump. They could be out of production as Cabelas, Bass pro, Sportsman Guide does not have them
Does anyone know where I might find one or if anyone has one, could they tell me the manufacturer so I can contact them directly. Thanks in advance.

build one for about ten dollars using pvc pipe. paint it green and place on tree. works just as well as those fifty dollar ones.

I have one built out of 6"pvc and a 6x6x4 Y at he the bottom facing upward for the deer to eat out of.
How do you keep protien from getting soggy in the rain and clogging up the hole?

we used 4in pvc sewar pipe with a, i think its called a bell t, it has a 45 degree angle. we would put a vent cap on bottom to let water drain.
i can draw it out better than i can explain

I know exactly what you are talking about and I have drain holes in mine too.
my design uses this connector on the bottom with a cap on the bottom and holes drilled in the cap for drainge.
the vertical sections are 6" and the part sticking out is 4"
Do you feed protien from yours or just corn? If protein what brand?

usually just corn. i found some rice bran pellets years ago i mixed in also. have not been able to find them lately.
i put the acorn rage in feeders last year and it seemed to work.

This is what i made. Wish I would have went 6" so I wouldn't have to fill it every week

thats a nice young buck you got there.
the ones we built will hold about 50 lbs maybe.
i like a timed feeder better. i can control what comes out and what's eating it. the gravity fed feeders we had fed more coons than deer i think.

that was true for me as well on amount it would hold and the coons sticking there dang hands inside it...I was feeding a 20% protein pellet out of mine. and corn in my feeder. Once I had them eating the protein I just started mixing it in my spin feeder...and its been sitting at the camp ever since.

i would bet we had the healthiest coons in the states of mississippi and louisiana.
right now i am getting alot of pics on the feeder we put out recently. all deer and very few coons.

i am headed back to my place this weekend to see what I have coming by mine. Its going to be a win for me if the cows haven't tore up my pen and feeder.

My cell phone camera is set at 1600x1200 and it will not let me email them to myself.
Anyway, I plowed up my green field behind the house and I'll let the sun work on it till the weekend
