The 2011-2012 National Championship "window"

Most coaches realize that it just is not possible to contend for the NC every year. A "Programmatic Big Picture Coach" phases red shirts and player time to set up the team for a 1-2 year window every 3-6 years.
In the case of LSU, whether planned or not, the schedule and talent and fortune have set up the 2003 and 2007 NC's and most are hoping for the 2011 pattern to hold, or possibly the 2012 season if not.
I wonder if Big Les is phasing LSU to posture the roster and player experience and such for the 2011 year and will be silently using players and plays/strategies that are more focused in the 2011-2012 window (since it sets up much better), or if it is lesticles-to-the-wall for 2010?

If the 2011 NC is in da dome then it's a lock that this is what the mad hatter has been up too. I was wondering what has been up with these mediocre arse teams the past two years

Is it even fair for LSU to play the NC in da dome, i mean seriously bringing the number 1 dome field advantage to a college game is unfair. But i'm not complaing

It actually does look good for next year. Senior QB, veteran OL and DL~s, great RB~s, 2 returning LB~s.

yes, most coaches dont try to win the national championship every year.
What they do is they take their licks so that every 3-4 years they can win it.
