Date Night - There Be Spoilers Within

Got really bored so I watched it last night.
Started out ok then really fell apart in the last 30 minutes.
Maybe even before that.
Question..... why was the DA even looking for the flash drive?
He has no idea what was on it and why would the mob guy ask him to look for it, knowing what was on it?
I know this is just a screwball comedy but that made absolutely zero sense.
Maybe a couple more rewrites before filming.
I would not recommend this unless you are a DIE HARD Carrel or Fey fan.

The movie was a failure the minute the director cast Tina Fey and Steve Carrel in a movie. Both are terrible. I would rather have sex with a LLotOT than watch Date Night again.
