"If USC wants an SEC grudge match, LSU is in the market..."

Matt Hinton's latest
Searched but didn't see a thread for this specifically, so SIAP. Plenty of LSU fans would love to get a shot at SC, so that's probably why it won't happen.
LSU v USC in Dallas in 2011 would be epic.

Their fans would love it too. Miles made a comment a couple years back about being careful with OOC scheduling so he wouldn't schedule USC- say what you want.

When was this? Ive never heard Miles say anything about not wanting to schedule USC.

Please don't give me the "We play in the SEC" crap either, the Troy St's and PAC10 has given us all we want.

Settle down, Choc.
He wasn't speaking ill of your hero.

I knew i soon as hit "submit" that it was going to be taken like that
Honestly...i was just wondering because the only thing i remember about him talking about the Pac 10 was when he said something about USC having an "easier road" or some shite like that.

Has USC challenged Florida to a series?

Unless it's all BS, I'm pretty sure USC isn't afraid to play anyone from the SEC.

Yeah, I've seen CLM comments in the past where he did cite the need to be careful w/ OOC games (due to the way the BCS works, tough conf. schedule, etc.).
OTOH, if LSU is openly willing to play decent to (trending to be) good teams like N Carolina, Oregon, or Nebraska, then USC should be worth considering as well.
Verge Ausberry talked about wanting to schedule a neutral site, inter-sectional game that is an attractive matchup that's easy to promote.
Safe to say that LSU-USC in Cowboys Stadium fits the bill, IMO.

Choctaw, you and Beatles need to start a self-help group for Negatigers. Help them to see things more positively.

quote:I agree and to Miles' credit, looks like he's changed his mind on that to a large degree. Perhaps that VT win that was a huge part of us sniffing the BCS Championship game helped in that area.

When you play a weak conference schedule like SC does, you need some SEC folk to strengthen your schedule.
They best pay attention to Stanford. If they don't, they may get throttled against like they did last year.

EPIC is a strong word. Plus there would be too many excuses for USC since they got busted. However, 8 years after the fact, What would it settle if anything????

Maybe so but that doesn't mean they don't need SEC teams to add credibility to their schedule. Depending on matchups, it can be easy for one conference to have a winning record over another.
