Or should FIFA do away with it?
I'm for it, I can remember the days when they Final Four had a consolation game.
(LSU actually played in the last one, losing to Virginia in the 1981 Final Four consolation game.)

Definitely for it, I think some of the best games of the past few Cups have been the third place game. I wish they had it at the EURO as well.

Definitely favor a third place game. Only drawback is sometime when big favorite looses in semis they don't show well for 3rd place game.
The teams fans have traveled from the world's ends, so they should get to see their team as many times as possible on the biggest stage in soccer.

I think it's stupid and antiquated. These guys on the best teams clearly mail it in. They're also way too valuable to play in an essentially meaningless game.
