I realize that Mickey is having fun "playing the recruiting game," but still I've been under the impression that he definitely wanted to go back to California for college, right? I mean, I'd really hate for LSU to lose out on a player of his calibre (and strength!), but I thought he was already gone -- please correct me if that's wrong! Assuming he's heading out west (and assuming that Jermauria Rasco comes to Baton Rouge): Do we try to steal Anthony Rabasa from the Florida schools? Do we consider JC-player Lavelle Lincome? Or do you think we just wrap up the D-Line with the Terrible Trio of Freak, Quentin, and Jermauria (keep your fingers crossed)?

I'd like Hunter if Johnson goes elsewhere. Very comparable imo. Hunter is younger and just as strong too.

Won't Mickey Johnson be one of those guys that we don't take due to so much talent elsewhere? It seems like Hunter is the guy we may take if we take either. If that's the case, I'd like him to leave the SEC and wish him the best of luck.

What? MJ is a take no matter what. Pretty sure hes ranked high on LSU's board and they definitely want MJ before Hunter considering he has a offer and Hunter doesn't..

. . .

MJ is definitely a take.

I whole-heartedly agree with you that Mickey is a take and I hope he decides to play for LSU. But after reading all the posts about Chuck Hunter, looking at their comparables, etc., I'm really starting to get on the Chuck Hunter bandwagon, too. That is to say, I'm not sure that we wouldn't be better off with Chuck on the D-Line instead.

It appears obvious that LSU is Chuck's number-one choice; he's younger and just-as-strong (as you stated); we keep open that irreplaceable West Monroe pipeline; plus (and this might have something to do with that ridiculous driving video I just watched), Chuck just seems more "serious," for lack of a better word. In short, I don't think I'll have my feelings hurt if Mickey heads out to California or up north to Nebraska . . . and far away from our SEC competitors.

I hope Chuck Hunter gets an LSU offer soon.
