No doubt, but I do draw a distinction between falling, especially when you are running, and staying on the ground and writhing in apparent pain for two minutes when you've barely even been touched. It's easy to trip and fall when you're running even when there is barely any contact, but you should get right back up if you're not hurt. And the obvious fakers, like the ones who get brushed lightly on the back and then apparently go blind from it, should be banned from international competition for a complete World Cup cycle.

I don't listen much to announcers in sports events, other than when I've got the TV on but am not actually watching it, in which case I turn my attention when they get excited and start shouting, so I haven't noticed this much. If true, then of course it's stupid. One of my friends played soccer all his life and absolutely loves the sport, but even he agrees that soccer players are far and away the biggest crybabies in sports.
