How long will Big 12 last?

After hearing about today's press conference, I don't think it will make it past next year.
Here are the key points.
1)The bottom five (KU, KSU, ISU, MU and Baylor) won't see an increase in TV money until 2014, but the top five will get an increase with OU, TU and Texas AM getting the biggest increase.
2) Only Texas, Texas AM and OU will be getting the buyout money.
3) No new exit penalties.

2 years, max.
If Mizzou, K-State, and Kansas get a better deal from the MWC or Big Ten, they'll blow town leaving the former Big 12 South teams and Iowa State to play each other.

But what if KU and some other teams get a deal from the Big East for less money, but more stability in the long term? I'd say they would take that deal. This new Big 12 deal could collapse again at any second. All of the lower 5 will just use this time to try and get a new deal with a different conference.

"Better deal" doesn't necessarily mean more money.
Considering the pie-in-the-sky numbers thrown around by Texas as well as Beebe deciding to screw over 5 teams in the league over the buyouts from Colorado and Nebraska, I'd think that a guaranteed even share in a conference likely to exist in 5 years would be a step up.

This has the making to be a reality tv series. Maybe MTV could pick it up and run it with the other over hyped drama they are currently airing. Maybe thats where the extra money will come from.
