I just read this novel last week. 600 pages. it was really good.
I know there is a movie out and i am interested in seeing how they portray things in the movie.
Has anyone seen it? Are there subtitles? is the acting good?
About to start reading the sequels soon.

Yes, it's in Swedish. I downloaded it a couple weeks back and just haven't gotten around to watching it yet.

I hope to God they don't Americanize this. I shutter when I see Clooney and Depp associated with something like this.

i don't live in BR.
I just wiki'd the movie and apparently they go into very graphic and lengthy depictions of the sexual assault scenes. They apparently use scenes from the second book in the first movie.
Also looks like the same swedish company has already made the two sequels into movies and those will be premering in the fall.

I saw it a few days ago in Boulder, CO. If you liked the book I would recommend the movie. It's obviously not as good as the book, but still worth seeing. 7/10

I thought the movie was very good. Never read the book but you could hear people gasping in the theatre during the rape scenes. I thought the pace and timing of the movie was fantastic from beginning to end.
