A&M has UT by the Balls and needs to pull a Jackie Sherrill

A&M has sucked all the power out of UT and are in the driver’s seat. UT does not want the SEC in Texas and A&M is blowing up that PAC-16 option. UT is right where A&M put them and needs to follow through and castrate them. They should come out and say "we did not start this be we are going to finish it with our move to the SEC".

If A&M goes to the SEC, UT goes to the Pac-10. That's not the worst situation for them.
So no one has anyone by the balls.

Good idea. UT is trying to manipulate the situation now to make A&M the bad guy in this. By publicly saying they'll support the Big 12 (-2) then they think this casts A&M in the villains roll.
People should see through this, unless they wear burnt orange colored glasses.

Wrong. It is not about money with UT. It is about recruits. UT does not want the SEC recruiting in Texas. UT wraps up their recruiting class a year in advance. Mack does not have to work for his recruits. That will change. UT is looking to save the Big 12 now because of A&M and the SEC.

Texas will goto the PAC-10
but UTs deal to the PAC-10 isn't as lucrative w/o little sister, hence their backtracking this AM tryin to save the b12
if A&M goes to the SEC i wouldn't be suprised to see UT to the Big10

It's about money and image. Recruiting is a subset of money. You get good recruits, you have a good team, you get money.
Image is important to UT, too. They want to look the part of the big dog and good guy.

"For all the talk about money, the issue that will most impact actual football games is recruiting. Conference affiliation – who you play, where you play, where the game is on television – can dramatically change who and from where you can recruit"

With the tensions between A&M and Texas at perhaps an all-time high because of the way the Horns have handled things throughout this ordeal (remember, it was the Aggies, not the Horns who presented SEVERAL ideas to keep the Big 12 together during their meeting on Thursday), I don't see how the Pac-10 could even be a viable option. It's either a kiss-and-make-up deal with both teams staying in the Big 12 or A&M goes SEC.
