Kids here grow up wanting to play for Texas. It has always been that way, and it would take massive change (more than just TAMU moving to the SEC) to change that.

mattz, how old are you?

i ask because when I moved to Houston in 1992, A&M was in the middle of a long stretch of recruiting domination over Texas. Ebb and flow, man.

People are looking at ATM now and judging their athletic teams based on where they are as members of the Big XII.

It's not a snapshot, it's a movie, and we haven't seen the end yet.

ATM will become a force in the SEC should they join.

Yet they couldn't sustain it. TAMU has only had a couple of stretches during their history when they were better than UT.

On a level playing field (both teams performing equally as well), UT has far more fans. No question. If you don't realize that, you didn't live in Houston very long.

This is so true- a few 'down' years by Texas, & if A&M picks it up in the 'win' column, things WILL change...
