So...that's where we're at now, eh?

fricking Oklahoma in the PACIFIC 10?

Really??

frick the Pac 10 and this whole mess. Are conferences going to consolidate until there is an AFC and NFC type setup...all for the sake of TV market share???

I couldn't agree more. WTF could they have in common with those people, and not just that, but what kind of college football atmosphere is there in such a huge geographic map? It's DUMB, and IMO, is going to be very boring.

Agreed. I think they're only looking at revenue upside and not the total picture (downsides associated with travel, etc.). It's like taking a job offer out of state/country because of the money, then realizing you're traveling half the time, the people are different, and your life sucks.

Maybe so, but this isn't the NFL. It's college football, and it's not going to be very interesting, at least the history won't. There's nothing there at all. How about Eugene Oregon, or maybe Pullman Washington? Big Game huh? Just saying that I think that this is going to be a real bad move. WHY? Because it just doesn't fit AT ALL. It's strange, and that's usually a pretty good indication that it's going to fail.

really getting crazy with the pac whatever crap.

i know the SEC ridicules each others fan base but basically we all are in same part of the country. thats what makes rivalries and games fun. i like to know i can make that short drive to gulf shores and frick with alabama and auburn fans but at end of the day we agree the SEC is king.

That's right. See, there's a commonality there. What kind of commonality could there POSSIBLY be in Texas and California or Texas and WSU, UW, Oregon, OSU, etc? It's like..."Let's see if we can make this here square peg fit in this round hole and make sense of it" It's goofy.

would be great if the average fan can afford the trip.

we try to go to an away game every year. la and seattle would be nice to go visit but not to go watch a college football game.

give me athens, auburn or even "the grove" for saturday afternoons in the fall.
