THey have been terrible since the death penalty but could possibly make a comeback due to the fact they have some wealthy alum. It is a good school and has some tradition in sports. I could see them becoming a better fit in the SEC than TCU. I can definitely see TCU heading to the PAC-10 if they change.

I would think another Texas school, assuming A&M joins the SEC, would join.

This is quite a stretch, but what say the rest of the board?

This is all assuming that rest of big xii south heads to PAc-10.

Rich as hell, but enrollment is too small.

IF A&M goes to the SEC and IF the SEC takes another Texas team it most likely would be one that plays in houston

RICE or UH

I can't see that happening. Mizzou seems like the other western team that would get an invite. Of course, it could be TAMU and then 1-3 east coast teams.

ETA: SMU would bring smoking hot co-eds, though.

What about a school like Memphis?

I think any other team besides OU and Texas is going to be a terrible team.

This.

And stadium too small with no room to grow. Have you ever been to their campus? No way they could hold an SEC-type crowd.

The only thing Memphis had was basketball. And even Calipari left them for an SEC school. So why would we need them?

SMU, Houston, Southern Miss, Memphis

I think if they have to bring someone else in from the West they are going to be pretty terrible.

Am I missing anybody else?

you wouldn't add two to the west if a&m comes, just add another from the east

Louisville would be an interesting add.

You'd get some solid basketball along with some football. And the incestuous storyline between past and present coaches would make great ink.

People, just because a school is in a particular city or area DOES NOT MEAN that you get that tv market by adding that team. NO ONE in houston watches houston or rice football, just like no one in new york city gives a damn about watching rutgers

I live close enough to SMU to hear the announcer during the games. My high school drew way more fans every week than SMU does. No one cares about SMU athletics, especially not the alumni. They won't go to the games and they won't turn on the TV to watch. The people in Dallas don't care either. This is not a good idea.
