Amare Stoudemire way over-rated?

A couple of years ago I thought he was going to be the next real deal. Ive watched him thoughout this playoffs and he has gone totally soft. He refuses to show much if any hustle and has no "desire" it seems to get a rebound. The announcers said at one point last night that he had 1 rebound over the last 5 quarters!

hes a solid role player, not a superstar that can carry a team. hes had some serious injuries as well

I don't know who rates him that high anymore. NBA fans have known this for several years now. Hell, I remember the Suns not even skipping a beat after he went down with a major injury a few years ago. It's always been all about Nash. Without him, the Suns are nothing.

So true. I was thinking last night that other than Nash no one else on this teams starts for this years Lakers or Celtics.

I always wondered why Lebron and the Cavs were so high on getting him.

because hes still a good player put him alongside lebron and that would be a lot better than getting jamison. he has value, hes just not a #1 option

offensively but they would've been even worse on defense with Shaq and Amare in the post..
