ok. we have a huge gap before season 5 comes on so i just want everyone to know that this series is so amazing. im a huge tv fan and i cater more to the series of HBO and showtime. im 22 but was a faithful follower of the sopranos and the wire. i watch the pacific, treme and breaking bad every sunday and on mondays i go to showtime for nurse jackie and united states of tara (both of these shows are alright but the girlfriend loves them. i know you guys understand) but dexter is seriously just.. brilliant. first off, i loved six feet under and loved the subtleness and great acting of micheal c. halls character in that show. to see him be this soft, subtle, clean cut, closet homo using his deacon disguise to stay in the closet and change skin to this complex box of emotion which is dexter just really impressed me.
i did a search on the forum and couldnt find a thread about dexter just mentions of it in other threads so
what do you guys think of this show? if you havent watched it or are thinking about it i urge you to do so. showtime is really good about there on demand section for series.

Dexter is easily my favorite show, and there are likely hundreds of threads on it. but I'm going to go ahead and ask something:

hhahahahahha at your surprised response to the closet homo.
i have watched every single episode of all 4 seasons. i have also seen the entire series of: six feet under, the wire, the sopranos and many other series on premium channels.

i just didn't want to spoil anything for you in case this thread went in that direction
for some reason, some of the stuck-up on this board think dexter is overrated, but it is easily a top tier show. the past season only solidified this status IMO. i've been with this show since the beginning, and it's one of the few shows i devote a lot of time to.

dexter morgan is a blood spatter analyst for the Miami Metro PD, and moonlights as a serial-killer. he has a code, however, instilled in him by his late foster father, who also worked for the MMPD: he only kills those who have killed as well.

Dexter is one of a few shows I've been able to watch from start to present. Can't wait for the new season.
