Name the film:

1.
"I had you figured all wrong Keys, but if you'll excuse me I have to get to the train station now."
"You aren't going anywhere Walter."

"Walter, I know you don't believe me, but I love you." "Goodbye baby."

2.

"I like Mr. Carpenter Mom. He's a real screwball."
"Bobby, you're shoes are soaking."
..."yeah, grass was wet."
"Such power exists?" "I assure you, such power exits."
"Bobby do you have a flashlight? You must remind me to tell you of another train that doesn't need tracks."
_________________________________________________

3.
"But did you notice that she had those same marks on her nose?"
"Hey yeah, he's right, I didn't notice it before."
"So she has marks on her nose, what does that prove? Maybe she kept her glasses on when she went to sleep. Who knows? How the hell do you know !????"
"I'm convinced. I'm changing my vote - not guilty."
_________________________________________________
4.
"Sylvesterrrrrrr! Would you just shut up and listen!"
"What I don't understand is this country's extraordinary pre-occupation with bosoms!"
"You want me to do everything. You want me to fly the plane, you want me to talk to the tower, what...who are you, da hostess?????"
"If I had the money, I could go somewhere where nobody could find me, maybe even a convent."
_________________________________________________

5.
"Roy, you've been fired. They didn't even want to talk to you."
"Monsieur Neery, what do you want?"
"This means something, this is important."
"Barryyyy!" "Ice cream!"

________________________________________________

6.
"It's going to be a long night. If you need any help with the girls."
"Would ze doctor like a brandy before wetiring?
"Some varm meelk." "Ovaltine."
"My grandfather used to work for your grandfather. Of course the rates have gone up."
"Pardon me boy, is that the Transylvania Station."
________________________________________________

7.
"Ben, I need to give you just one word of advice....plastics." "Mmmmm." "Mmmmmm."
"Would you please send a squad car right away, we have an intruder. Wait, just a minute I'll ask him. Are you armed?
"Look, here she is having some water."

I know where the name comes from, but I don't remember this quote in the movie.

Can't place 1 and 7. Think I got the rest

More lines from #5:

"I know this sounds crazy, but ever since yesterday on the road, I've been seeing this shape. Shaving cream, pillows... Dammit! I know this. I know what this is! This means something. This is important."

"If everything's ready here on the Dark Side of the Moon... play the five tones."

"Is that it? Is that all you're gonna ask me? Well I got a couple of thousand goddamn questions, you know. I want to speak to someone in charge. I want to lodge a complaint. You have no right to make people crazy! You think I investigate every Walter Cronkite story there is? Huh? If this is just nerve gas, how come I know everything in such detail? I've never been here before. How come I know so much? What the hell is going on around here? Who the hell are you people?"

(Close Encounters of the Third Kind)

"Roy, you've been fired. They didn't even want to talk to you."
(This was Teri Garr telling Richard Dreyfus (Roy Neery) that the Power Company had fired him over the phone.)

"Monsieur Neery, what do you want?"
(This was Lt Lacombe (Francois Truffaut) asking Roy Neery (Dreyfus) what he wanted after the space ships had landed and he was staring at the spectacle and wondering if he wanted to leave on it.)

"This means something, this is important."
(This was Roy Neery looking at a picture of Devils' Tower on TV News, a picture of a mountain, a pile of mashed potatoes, etc. - signifying the mountain where the spaceship would land later.)

"Barryyyy!"
(This was Jillian (Melinda Dillon) calling for her little boy in the woods after he ran outside of their house with the skies darkening and the space ship approaching.)

"Ice Cream,"
(This was the little boy Barry shouting at the small spaceships whizzing by on the mountainside road.)

Close, but that is not the quote. I don't remember ""Mmmmm." "Mmmmmm" in the Graduate, but I do remember it in Caddyshack.

Actually, it is from "Double Indemnity" (1944?)
Edward G. Robinson played Keys and Fred MacMurray played Walter Neff. Also starred Barbara Stanwyck.

One of the better classic suspense dramas.

Also, see Kafka's link above :)

Barry shouted "Ice Cream" at the tiny little triangular light craft that was last in line and following the larger scout ships.

Do yall all know that CE3K was filmed in Mobile, Fairhope and Bay Minette, Alabama?

You're right. The "Mmm Mmm" sound was uttered actually by Ben(Dustin Huffman) panicking and almost hyperventilating with anxiety while squirming in the chair listening to Mr. Robinson (Murray Hamilton) drone on about plastics - while Mrs Robinson (Anne Bancroft) is still upstairs putting her clothes back on after seducing Ben
