Deep water drilling will never be the same again

I cant imagine the regs that will be put on all deep water platforms

They will be placed so that politicians can make their big stand and then quietly eased over the next decade.

I am in the energy business and also agree they should be regulated tougher. They can handle the cost and what they are doing has a high risk for those working on the platforms as well as our environment. Louisiana absorbs most of the risk and sees less royalty money that states like Montana, New Mexico and Texas. It is essential to our energy independence but make sure you are doing it correctly and safe for all. Yes, there are going to be a ton of regs upfront, alot I am sure that are nonsense but it will work itself out long term.
